SHANGHAI – The easing of the lockdown in the Chinese city of Shanghai on June 1 will be extended even further than was initially announced on Monday. Shopping centers and other shops are allowed to open again and residents of areas with a “low-risk” status can go back to work, local authorities said on Tuesday. The number of domestic flights to the city will also be expanded, says deputy mayor Zong Ming of the city.
