Syrian and Arab artists and activists participated widely on platforms in the obituary of the Syrian actor Shadi Zidan, brother of the artist Ayman Zidan, after his death due to a stroke that he suffered a few days ago, and after that he was transferred to the hospital.

Yesterday, Friday, the Syrian Ministry of Information announced the death of the Syrian artist, at the age of 49, after a severe health problem that he suffered a few days ago.

A few days ago, Shadi participated in campaigns to support and shelter those affected by the earthquake that struck northern Syria at dawn on February 6, after which he went to film his new series, “Alley of the Jinn,” in which he embodied the character “Abu Tayseer.”

In the events of the series, the character suffers a health crisis that throws him to the ground, and during filming, Zidane suffered a real cerebral hemorrhage and was taken to the hospital.

In turn, the Syrian Artists Syndicate in Damascus said on Facebook, “Our heartfelt condolences on the death of fellow artist Shadi Zaidan, and we will inform you later of the date of burial and funeral, and the place and date of condolence. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

Shadi Zidan is the brother of actors Ayman Zidan and Wael Zidan. He was distinguished for his role in the series “My Grandfather’s House”, the second part, with Samer Al-Masry, Bassam Koussa and other stars of the Syrian drama. He also participated in the series “The Rain Song” directed by Basil Al-Khatib and other series.

The Syrian actress, Wafaa Mousli, mourned the deceased with touching words on Facebook, saying, “Shadi, the years weighed on you, the bad conditions exhausted you, and your heart was broken by what happened to our country. Oh, good old man.”

And she added, “The eye sheds tears, and the heart grieves, and we are saddened by your separation, and we only say what pleases God. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

The Syrian actor Bassem Yakhour shared, on Instagram, a picture of his late colleague, commenting on it, “Shadi Zidan, farewell, and may God give patience to the hearts of your mother, brothers, and family for this painful separation.”

As for the Syrian musician, Maher Bakr, he wrote on Twitter, “Joy has become standing at the borders of Syria, afraid to enter, because the amount of sadness that this country emits is greater than all the peoples of the earth can bear. Farewell, Shady Zidane, for your soul, mercy.”

Syrian journalist Raed Al-Mawas tweeted, “Farewell to the one who smiled and used pranks. May God have mercy on you and condolences to your loved ones.”

On the Arab side, Jordanian singer Diana Karazon said in a tweet, “Syrian actor Shadi Zaidan has passed away. May God have mercy on you and my great condolences to the Syrian and Arab artistic community. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

In turn, the Lebanese journalist Abdullah Baalbaki wrote, “May God have mercy on the Syrian actor Shadi Zidan, whom we remember well when he played the role of (Afif) in the series Family 6 and 7 Stars. Our deepest condolences to Shady’s brother, the great star, Ayman Zidane.
