Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine fired the country’s ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova for a bunch of insane forgeries related to “rape of Ukrainian children by the Russian military.” The news was announced by the deputy from the pro-presidential party “Servant of the People” Pavel Frolov.

He clarified that the decision to release her was taken unanimously.

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk and the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk.

“The incomprehensible concentration of the ombudsman’s media work on many details of ‘unnatural sexual crimes’, which she could not confirm with evidence, only harms Ukraine,” he said.

Frolov added that Denisova had not fulfilled her direct duties: organizing humanitarian corridors and exchanging prisoners, most of the time in “Davos, Vienna, Warsaw and other warm and peaceful places in Western Europe.”

The MP and member of the Committee on Legal Policy of the Verkhovna Rada Denis Maslov explained that the Ombudsman’s Office has received numerous complaints and grievances.

“First of all, the post of ombudsman provides for the guarantee of human rights and freedoms, and this is a very delicate work with many national and international bodies. In this case, quite delicate information appeared on social networks and on television, which not only does not help solve problems, but also harms the interests of the people and the country as a whole.

It is worth recalling the case when it was reported on social networks that in the Kherson region 57 Ukrainian orphans are hiding in churches. This information was immediately used by the Russian special services and these children were quickly taken to Russian territory.

Maslov denied information about potential candidates for the position.

Denisova has been in office since March 15, 2018. Prior to that, she was Minister of Social Policy in the cabinets of Prime Ministers Yulia Tymoshenko and Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
