Seville Prepares for Spectacular Santalucía Universal Music Week in November

Seville is preparing its gala dress for the month of November. There is barely a month left until the great Latin Grammy ceremony in the city and the parallel activities around this milestone with a musical note are already beginning to unfold. It is the case of Santalucía Universal Music Week. An event to be held from November 11 to 17 in the Plaza de Españawhere a 5,000 square meter tent for the biggest stars of pop and flamenco.

The first date will be starred by the grenadine Lola Indigo on Saturday, November 11. The man from Malaga will follow Pablo López on Sunday, November 12. One of the most special events will take place on Monday, November 13 in which flamenco will be the absolute protagonist. During this evening, great names of the genre will gather – such as José Mercé, Tomatito, Dorantes and Manuela Carrasco, among others – to pay tribute to Paco de Lucía, Camarón, Lole y Manuel, la Niña de los Peines, Carmen Amaya or Enrique Morente . He November 14th the Colombian band Morat takes up the baton. on Wednesday November 15 there will be a double date: on the one hand he will act Juan Magán in Plaza de España and, on the other hand, it will act Aitana at Antique Theater with a show in which electronics will prevail. He Friday, November 17will close this week Antonio Orozco with his show Half Antonio, half Orozco.

As for the day of the gala, Thursday the 16th, the organizers also plan to hold a parallel activity for which they have not yet revealed details. This has been announced by director of Universal Music, Narcís Rebolloduring the press conference that was held in the Seville Town Hall next to the Culture delegate, Minerva Salas. Rebollo has valued the show dedicated to flamenco “as one of the most important music in the world and should be within a great showcase such as the Latin Grammys.” He also recalled that this genre was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010.

Ticket prices and sales

From October 9 to 13, a special pre-sale will be held for Banco Santander customers. On October 13, starting at 1:00 p.m., general sales will be opened for all events except for the Flamenco gala. This event will work by invitation, because it will be a show for 500 spectators seated at a table.
