On Friday 16 September the community of the Saint-Joseph gendarmerie brigades, assisted by the labor inspectorate, carried out checks in the agricultural environment to combat hidden work. As indicated on the Facebook page of the Reunion gendarmerie, several crimes were detected.

Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, the gendarmerie is continuing its checks, particularly in the agricultural sector.
This Friday, 16 September 2022 in Petite Île, the cane cutters were checked by the staff of the COB * in Saint-Joseph, assisted by the labor inspectorate.
Several crimes related to hidden work were reported against farmers who did not make mandatory declarations.
6 people were checked and revealed the following crimes:
4 people discovered in illegal work activities,
2 operators who did not make statements from their employees.* COB: Community of Brigades.
