The map of schools in the town of Montluçon will change in the coming years. The City presented its school plan for the period 2022-2026 on Wednesday.
It will translate concretely into a reduction in the number of establishments, via groupings. This will be the case at the start of the 2023 school year with the announced closure of the Anatole-France and Pauline-Kergomard schools in the Diénat district. The children will be redirected to Jules-Ferry, Balzac, Jean-Giono and Paul-Fort.
A merger of the Desnos-Aymé and Jacques Prévert schools is also on the way in Bien-Assis. Decisions which have already generated a rejection of the parents, in the district of Diénat.
The mayor of Montluçon Frédéric Laporte today justifies the announced plan, in particular by the drop in staff.
For the mayor of Montluçon, this plan should make it possible to have better reception conditions for children. Beyond that, it will also generate savings.
A plan that should be talked about in the coming weeks. We recall that parents have already mobilized via a petition against the announced closure of the Anatole-France and Pauline Kergomard schools.
