The Limburgers gathered at the first post with almost the entire team. That was not just that, says Ben Rienstra in front of the ESPN camera. “We trained seriously on the corner. “There was a lot to do with us, about our attacking corners. And I actually said two weeks ago: let me kick him, I’ll just shoot him at goal. Normally you try him more at the first post. The goalkeeper had trouble with it and the second post was open like that. He fell beautifully in the far corner,” says the goalscorer with satisfaction.
Seuntjens has already scored four goals this season, but this was undoubtedly the most special so far. The footballer sometimes gets inspiration from YouTube, he says. “Today I saw two more by Thierry Henry go in like this. I thought: I’ll give it a try too”, concludes the footballer, who eventually saw the game end in a draw due to the goal of Nikolai Baden Frederiksen.
