The National Federation of owners, traders and managers of service stations in Morocco denounces a pernicious practice of distributors of hydrocarbons. A denunciation which comes a few weeks before the publication of the annual report of the Competition Council on the situation of competition, in particular that of liquid hydrocarbons.

The denunciation of the Federation relates to a “surprise measure” of the companies OLA Energy Maroc and Winxo, said Ecoactu.ma. According to the federation, these two companies have distributed retroactive “suspicious undertakings”, which impute the responsibility for setting the profit margin to the owners of service stations. According to the Federation, failure to comply with this requirement could lead to a cessation of supply.

“The owners and managers are bound by exclusive contracts with a single distributor who, in a way, imposes his conditions. The profit margins of service station owners have not changed for 23 years, “said Jamal Zrikem, president of the National Federation of Service Station Owners, Traders and Managers.

Faced with this deplorable situation, the Federation invites all professionals to boycott the signing of the said document. Likewise, it intends to refer the matter to the Competition Council “for urgent intervention”.
