Sernac issued a safety alert for a batch of wet towels and gives instructions to consumers | Economy

The National Consumer Service (Sernac) issued a Security alert after Kimberly-Clark Chile informed him of a situation that links a certain batch of “Huggies Daily Cleaning” wipes.

According to information published by the Service, lot number 200420-02 of these wipes -marketed during June 2020- “They would be outside of some microbiological specifications for this type of product.”

“While this deviation may not pose a risk to healthy people, could have some risk in people with depressed immune systems, hospitalized, or prone to have a higher risk of infection, ”said Sernac.

Therefore, consumers in possession of “Huggies Daily Cleaning” wipes should:

Customers who have the wipes affected by this problem in their possession should call the number 800 201717 or write to [email protected].

Total 3,304 units are affected by this security alert, of which 490 are in the hands of consumers.

As reported by the company, Sernac added, to date no accidents have been reported derived from this condition in Chile.
