Seriously ill artist Dowiman passed away

The 1 voor 12 Foundation just announced that Lewis Desmond, better known as Reinforcement’s ‘Dowiman’, has passed away. Dowiman became last week admitted via the Emergency Department (A&E) of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP).

He had an ugly wound on his right foot that doctors said had to be amputated. The amputation took place shortly afterwards. Today the foundation announced his death.

Born in Guyana, Dowiman (67) is known for the reggae and dancehall band Reinforcement. 1 voor 12 frontman Vismale has also worked together with Romeo Starke under the Reinforcement foundation on several films such as ‘Dangerous game’, in which Dowiman appeared.

1 voor 12 is grateful to his fans for the attention shown on social media and also the radio stations that play his songs.
