The long-awaited reunion episode of “Friends” could be filmed early this summer, according to WarnerMedia Entertainment’s Bob Greenblatt. The special episode was scheduled to air on HBO Max on May 27, but the coronavirus crisis postponed filming. “At first we thought it would be a month or two at most, but it looks like it will be longer,” he told Variety.
Ready by the end of summer?
“We would like to be able to finish it by the end of the summer, if all goes well, and resume production. We think it’s important to have an audience present to celebrate the return of these six friends, and we didn’t just want to do that on the net, ”he says.
Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kurdow, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will return to this life-changing sitcom together.
