The website of Steal The Deal, the platform on which singer and presenter Sergio Quisquater and son Gill offer products at affordable prices, is having a great day. The reason for this is that until Monday self-tests are sold for 2.95 euros, considerably less than in pharmacies and supermarkets.

The self-tests have been for sale on the Steal The Deal website for several weeks, says Gill Quisquater, Sergio’s son. “But the media attention for self-tests in recent days has made us think. There are many people and families who want and have to test themselves in the coming weeks, but that costs a lot of money. We are with the manufacturer (Newgene, red.) started talking and were able to conclude a deal that allows us to offer those tests for 2.95 euros.” By way of comparison: the test costs 8 euros at the pharmacist.

The promotion will run until Monday afternoon. The success was so great that the website went offline for a long time on Friday due to the influx of interested parties. “Unbelievable,” says Quisquater. “We had to straighten everything out online, there was so much interest.”

A year and a half ago, father and son Quisquater joined forces and founded Steal The Deal. On that site you will find all kinds of interesting deals, where products are offered at cheaper prices. “We’re not going to make much profit from the self-tests ourselves,” says Quisquater. “But it is good to put our platform in the spotlight and we are happy that we can help people in this way.”
