A cake prank and a drone revelation: Serena Williams has found out the gender of her second baby.
Serena Williams (41) found out the gender of her second baby – and then revealed the result to her fans in detail Video on her YouTube account. The former tennis player is organizing an elaborate gender reveal party with her husband Alexis Ohanian (40).
Hundreds of balloons were set up for the guests, the decoration was designed in rainbow colors. Of course, the visitors included Serena’s sister, also a former world-class tennis player Venus Williams (43), and their father Richard (81). Serena and Alexis Ohanian’s first child, daughter Olympia (5), was of course also there.

Apparently, Alexis Ohanian was the only one who knew the gender of the child in advance – and he used this knowledge advantage for a prank. The entrepreneur presented a cake of the kind often used at gender reveal parties. As usual, the cake was half pink and half blue on the outside. But where the inner dough is usually dyed one of two gender stereotyped colors, here it came in gender neutral yellow.
The prank worked, Serena Williams looked stunned. Venus Williams, jumping excitedly in the background, clearly showed her disappointment.
Revealing with drones
Shortly thereafter, however, the actual revelation took place. And it was spectacular: Drones loaded with LED lights flew into the already dark sky. There they first formed the phrase “It’s a” – and then “Girl”. So it’s a girl again.
Like after a Wimbledon victory, Serena Williams threw her arms up in celebration. The Grand Slam record winner had hoped for a girl, she made no secret of that. Her outfits at the party were dominated by the color pink. In the video, she also revealed that if it were to be a boy, she had no plan B.
