Serena Williams equals Roger Federer’s winning record

Serena Williams achieved another victory this Tuesday at the Australian Open. The American tennis player reached the semifinals of the tournament for the ninth time, after beating Romanian Simona Halep 6-3 by a double.

With this triumph, Williams reached 362 victories in Grand Slam tournaments, the same record that Roger Federer has. Mind you, it’s still two wins away from equaling Margaret Court’s record.

Now Serena will have to face the Japanese Naomi Osaka, who beat the Taiwanese Hsieh Su-wei 6-2, 6-2.
