Bad news hit Indonesian football lovers on Friday, February 11, 2022 morning WIB. At that time, PSSI announced the Garuda Muda squad to withdraw from the 2022 AFF U-23 Cup.

Knowing the squad was in tatters, the coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, made a plea to PSSI.
