As of August 1st, the city of Sempach will support families with vouchers for the day care center. The salary plays just as much a role as the workload.

As of August 1st, the city of Sempach will introduce childcare vouchers for childminders to finance childcare in daycare centers for pre-school children and those of kindergarten or primary school age. Since the first announcement in early April, however, only individual applications have been received, the city writes in its press release.

The care vouchers are intended to promote the livelihood of families and the compatibility of family and work. The care vouchers can be submitted to all approved, verified and approved crèches and the Seevogtey association’s day-care center. The institutions involved must have a valid operating license.

Depending on the amount of income and assets as well as the workload, the city of Sempach pays a contribution to the legal guardians or childminders. Specifically, legal guardians are entitled to the vouchers if they live in Sempach, work 120 percent as a couple or 20 percent as a single parent and do not earn more than CHF 90,000.
