Selena Gomez does not owe an answer to people who make comments about her appearance

Gomez, who glowed on the red carpet in a Valentino dress with her younger sister, said in a video live on Instagram after the ceremony: “I’m a little chubby right now because I’m just enjoying the holidays!”

“Right?” she turned to her nine-year-old sister. “But we don’t care!” said Gomez, as she and her sister burst into laughter.

This isn’t the first time Gomez has hit out at detractors who point out her weight. In April 2022, Gomez said on TikTok that being thin is not worth missing out on her favorite food because “people will still criticize her for [viņas svaru]”.
