Football referee who became the victim of beating members South Tangerang DPRD (Tangsel) Edy Mamat turned out to be a member of the TNI. The soldier is said to be active in the world of South Tangerang refereeing.
“The TNI members are in the capacity of referees. Yes, TNI members are active in South Tangsel arbitration at Askot,” said Secretary of North Serpong District, Dahlan, when contacted, Sunday (12/6/2022).
Dahlan said the beating took place in Paku Jaya, which is in the administrative area of North Serpong District. Dahlan also served as supervisor of the competition committee.
According to him, the referee was named Eka, who served in Arhanud. Dahlan admitted that he was watching the match at the time of the incident.
“His service is at Arhanud (referee). His name is Eka,” he added.
Previously, the DPC Gerindra Tangsel opened up about the beating by one of its cadres. This beating went viral on social media.
“From the videos, pictures, photos I received, it’s true that Mr. Edy Mamat, a member of the Tangerang City Council South from the Gerindra Faction,” said Secretary General of the DPC Gerindra Tangsel Yudi Budi Wibowo when contacted by reporters, Saturday (11/6).
However, Yudi admitted that he did not know the reason why Edy Mamat hit the referee during the football match. Edy Mamat is known to be one of the players in the soccer match.
“The reason for the beating and others I do not know,” he explained.
The incident of beating the referee by a member South Tangerang DPRD Edy Mamat is viral on social media. Mentioned, the beating occurred during a football tournament on Friday (10/6) yesterday.
From the videos seen detik.com, the beating began after the referee issued a red card during the match. Edy Mamat, who was wearing shirt number 7, then approached and suddenly hit the referee.
