The second concert of the Summer Organ will be given on Sunday August 14 at 4 p.m. in the Saint-François church, in the gallery of the Grand Orgue Théodore Puget, with a Marian Song and Organ program, given by two musicians from Tarn: Aurélie Fargues, soprano, and Anne-Lise Labusquière, organist from Lavaur. Motets and organ pieces dedicated to Mary, works by baroque, classical and contemporary composers such as: Ave Maris stella by Nivers, Eia Mater by Scarlatti, Ave Maria by Guilmant, Salve Regina by Pergolèse, as well as other pieces by Titelouze , Bizet, Boellmann and Cesar Franck.
With a degree in Literature, Aurélie Fargues obtained the gold medal in solo singing at the Toulouse Conservatory, then studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. 1st Prize at the Picardy Opera Competition and 3rd prize in Béziers, she was selected for the title role of Caprices by Marianne de Sauguet at the Capitole de Toulouse, the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux, the Opéra de Marseille… She performed operatic roles: Juliet in
Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet, Pamina in Mozart’s Magic Flute… She sings
also the oratorio: Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s Cantata 51, Coronation Mass and
Vespers of a Confessor by Mozart, Dixit Dominus by Handel, Carmina Burana by Carl
Orff, Pergolèse’s Stabat Mater, Fauré’s Requiem…
After her piano, music theory and accompaniment prizes in Tarbes, Anne-Lise Labusquière is
admitted to the Toulouse Conservatory, in organ classes (Xavier Darasse), harpsichord
(Willem Jansen) and chamber music. She was harpsichordist of the Orchester National de Chambre de Toulouse and the Orchester Les Passions in Montauban, then vocal coach at the
Studio Opéra, with the Masters Ringers in Toulouse. At the Montauban Conservatory, she
held the position of accompanist and vocal coach. Organist at Lavaur, she performs
in concert, notably with singers, notably Aurélie Fargues and Gilles Ragon.
The next concerts will take place on Sunday August 21 at 4 p.m. with Vincent Grappy,
titular organist of the organs of the cathedral of Blois, and on Sunday August 28 at 4 p.m. by Wilfried Kathemann, titular organist of the organs of Lavaur. Admission is free and the
audience participation in the hat.
