Actress and director Sean Penn comes with strong criticism for the way the former US president handled the pandemic.

– We were – not only as a country, but also as a value – failed and obviously neglected, and misinformed, said Sean Penn (60) in a press conference at Cannes in connection with the film «Flag Day».

– There had been an attack on the truth and reason of what in all circumstances was an immoral administration, he added.

But the Oscar-winning star code player did not go there.

He also referred to Trump’s corona handling as opening fire on vulnerable groups in society.

– When my “team” and I came home at night from testing and vaccination, we came back to crazy news – it felt like someone shot down the most vulnerable in our society from a tower in the White House, he continues.
