Great news for all fans of Sea Outside: there’s not much left until the highly anticipated debut of the first episodes of the fourth season.
The lucky spectators of the twenty-first edition of Alice in the city and of eighteenth edition of the Rome Film Festival (18-29 October 2023) will in fact have the opportunity to attend the preview screening of the first two episodesin advance of the release scheduled for 2024. Furthermore, the protagonists of the record-breaking series co-produced by Rai and Picomedia will parade on the red carpet of the event, ready to meet their very loyal fans.
In the fourth season, the protagonists of Sea Outside they find themselves metaphorically sailing on the open sea. Rosa, Carmine, Mimmo, Kubra, Dobermann, Cucciolo and Micciarella they all experience the awareness of no longer being attached to the saving anchor of the family. They are alone, pushed by the current out to sea. Now they have to overcome their most intimate fears every day to face life. At their side there is no longer the unconditional love of the family, but that of the friends with whom they choose to sail. There are counters to this story Pino, Edoardo, Cardiotrap, Giulia and Silvia who, for better or for worse, still experience the weight of family ties capable of influencing their lives.
It’s time to grow up and that means understanding who you want to become and what you want to be. By now most of the inmates are adults. Change is inevitable, but personal growth is a choice that requires courage. You have to decide how and where to orient your life, your journey. Those who don’t do it allow others to do it for them. Freedom isn’t just outside prison, it is also an internal conquest dictated by the courage to choose. The harshness of the new director forces the boys to make a necessary choice: rebel for their own self-determination. The clash between the world of adults and that of children is inevitable to understand who you are, who you want to become and find the voice to say it.
The new episodes of Sea Outside they will come streaming on RaiPlay in February 2024, divided into two tranches, interspersed with the Sanremo Festival. It is then confirmed that the complete season will be broadcast in prime time on Rai 2 once distribution on RaiPlay has been completed.
