In the spring of 2020, the first strict confinement had imposed a lot of remote work. To maintain the school link, the municipality had set up access to educational resources on the municipality’s website so that teachers can upload documents for students.
Since then, the system has evolved. Bruno Emile-dit-Bigas, deputy mayor, explains: “The municipality has decided to invest in providing the school with the One software, a digital workspace (ENT) set up through National Education. This digital space is reserved for teachers, students and parents. “
One is a secure solution to simplify exchanges between school and home – “which is particularly interesting in this period of health crisis” – creating interactive educational content and sharing projects carried out in class. Most of the services are accessible via tablets or smartphones. Each parent and child has a personal username and password sent by the teacher by email or in the liaison notebook.
“All primary classes in the school group have them. With this very interactive and very current process for our young students, we are entering a new era and parents at the same time follow their child’s progress”, emphasizes Bruno. Emile-dit-Bigas.
For now, these are still only the beginnings. Initially, priority is given to the use of messaging. Subsequently, this tool will be developed throughout the school year, according to the progress of each class and each teacher.
The deputy mayor continues: “This system complements other actions already carried out in 2020: the equipment in each class of a video projector, an adapted whiteboard and speakers, as well as sound insulation and equipping three rooms with led ceiling lights The next project for the school, in association with the MJC, is the creation of a reading corner for children and adolescents, which will be installed in the grounds of the old kindergarten. “
