Screenshots show new Windows 11 File Explorer and Settings menus – Computer – News

A Microsoft developer has posted screenshots of an internal Windows 11 build online. It contains a new Explorer and new menus for system and display settings.

The images are from Windows 11 Build 22000.51 and go around on Twitter. A Microsoft developer posted the screenshots online, he thought that the build was already publicly available, but that’s not the case.

At the announcement of Windows 11 last Thursday, Microsoft did not yet show the new Explorer and the Settings menus were also not visible before. In the leaked build of Windows 11 these elements had not yet been renewed.

The Explorer in Windows 11 gets new icons and a new look. The elements present are largely the same as those in Windows 10. The system and display settings menus contain lists of expandable items.

It is not yet clear whether the build in question is the Insider version that will be available this week. Last week at the announcement of Windows 11, Microsoft said that the first official test version will be released this week. Windows CEO Panos Panay called the previously leaked build “an early, weird build.” He said that in a interview met The Verge.
