Scientists Discover New Flu Virus that Are More Dangerous, Derived from Pig Farms in China

The G4 EA H1N1 virus is known to grow and develop in cells in the human respiratory tract. Scientists have also found evidence of transmission to humans working in the pig farm industry in China.

SERAMBINEWS.COM, JAKARTA – A scientist in China discovered a new variant of the virus that has the potential to become a pandemic. The virus by researchers called G4 EA H1N1 can grow and multiply in cells that lead to human breathing.

The researchers also worried that the virus could mutate further, so that it could spread between humans and trigger a global outbreak.

Prof. Kin-Chow Chang from the University of Nottingham in England explained that all parties must not be careless even though the covid-19 virus is currently attacking humanity all over the world.

Meanwhile Professor James Wood explained that at this time humanity continues to face the risk of the emergence of new zoonotic parogens and that livestock that are more in contact with humans than wildlife can also be a source of pandemic viruses. “Zoonotic infections are caused by pathogens that jump from animals to humans,” he said.

Scientists have also found evidence of transmission to humans working in the pig farm industry in China.

The research was conducted by joint scientists from several universities in China, as well as the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC).
