Canadian scientists recently revealed the effectiveness of cloth masks to limit the spread of the virus.
Scientists have found that gags made of fabric that contain several cotton layers prohibit the passage of suspended particles in the air (aerosols) and thereby reduce the transmission of the Corona virus from one person to another, according to Sputnik Arabia, quoted by the journal “Analyz International Medicine”.
It has also been shown that a four-layer muzzle (conductive and cotton) reduces the transport of airborne particles by 99 percent, compared to 96 percent to 99 percent in single-use contemporary medical masks.
The filtering efficiency of the muzzle changes according to the number of its layers, the filtering efficiency in the scarf, blouses and shirts ranges between 10 to 40 percent, and recent studies have confirmed that some fabric compositions, for example, cotton-flannel, block more than 90 percent of the particles.
Experts note, the more layers increase the more protection, but it makes breathing more difficult so they do not prefer to wear children under the age of two and people who suffer from breathing difficulties for these masks. “
The scientists stressed, that choosing the optimal fabric in manufacturing gags is a matter that needs further study.
