Schiphol expects comparable passenger numbers towards the summer holidays as during the May holiday, when 2.6 million people traveled to and from the airport. Schiphol therefore calls on travelers to prepare well.
Passenger numbers are still at a lower level than before the corona crisis, but at peak times the crowds were comparable to 2019.
In April, for example, 4.4 million people traveled via Schiphol. In the same month last year, there were almost 800,000 passengers and in 2020 there were more than 100,000 passengers.
During the May holiday, 2.6 million passengers traveled from, to or via Schiphol. Last year there were about 500,000 and in 2020 about 90,000. In 2019, 3.3 million people traveled through the airport.
