Scheveningen has started installing barriers to prevent traffic nuisance on the boulevard. The barrier system must be put into operation by the end of this month at the latest.
The barriers close off the Strandweg along the boulevard, in order to prevent nuisance from motorists in the evenings. From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. it is no longer possible to drive onto the Strandweg.
Local residents have been complaining about noise pollutiont of racing cars and roaring motorcycles that drive in circles through Scheveningen in the evening. There is also a parking lot on Strandweg, which will remain accessible.
