(District) The Schaumburg district fire brigade presented the child protection association with 20 filled surprise bags for the upcoming Christmas party.

The district fire brigade around district fire chief Klaus-Peter Grote would like to support families and children this year who cannot afford Christmas presents. In order to protect the anonymity of the families, the press team has contacted the Kinderschutzbund Schaumburg eV. “Our spokespersons packed 20 surprise bags for children,” reports district fire chief Klaus-Peter Grote when handing it over to Annette Müller and Gaby Mennicken. “We want to support families who cannot financially afford to give their child a joy for Christmas,” says Grote.

Müller and Mennicken have gratefully received the surprise bags and organize the distribution to children in need. “The surprise bags are used in two different projects. On the one hand, the bags will be given to children in need and, on the other hand, they will be used in our “Advent calendar to go” at the family center, ”reports social worker Annette Müller.

In addition to the surprise bags for the children, there was also a surprise for the child protection association. An “XL Grisu” – a small dragon known from TV who wants to become a firefighter – as well as several copies of the mascot “Manni” of the district fire brigade will support the work of the child protection association in the future. Due to the corona pandemic, the handover took place on a small scale. (pr / photo: pr)
