Schalke 04 after the Freiburg fiasco: New club record leads S04 towards relegation

FC Schalke 04: Relegation almost certain even in the event of a tie against Arminia Bielefeld
Should FC Schalke 04 draw in Bielefeld, the chances of a rescue are only theoretical. In this case, the team of coach Dimitrios Grammozis (42) would have to win all four remaining games, while Hertha BSC in turn loses all six outstanding games.
In addition, the S04 would have to catch up to a whopping 43 goals in the goal difference on Hertha BSC. The reason: Schalke have already lost 13 times this season with three or more goals difference and a disastrous statistic of 18:75 goals as a mortgage. A basic requirement in every scenario played out here is that at least ten points plus goal difference are made up for 1. FC Köln.

Schalke 04: Direct relegation, at least not 100 percent excluded
Should FC Schalke 04 win at Arminia Bielefeld, the relegation is not mathematically perfect, at least for a few more days. This is because Hertha BSC is currently unable to score points itself and will not start playing again until May.
If the S04 actually wins all the missing games, even under the most curious circumstances, direct relegation can be achieved. However, the S04 would need five very high victories here, while two teams from Arminia Bielefeld, FSV Mainz 05 and Hertha BSC do very badly. 1. FC Köln are also not allowed to score more than five points.

The chances that FC Schalke 04 will still reach the relegation place are slightly higher. This requires that FC Schalke 04 overtake two teams in the Bundesliga table.

So each of these teams is out of reach as soon as it wins even one victory, sometimes even one point is enough. In addition, there is 1. FC Köln, which currently has 23 points on the account.
The fact that Hertha BSC meets relegation candidates three times in direct duels does not help FC Schalke 04 either: FSV Mainz 05 (29th matchday), Arminia Bielefeld (32nd matchday) and 1.
