Monaco held its breath because of the marriage troubles of Prince Albert, when it comes to divorce, his sister Princess Caroline (64) may still be ahead of him. She has been living separately from her German husband, the 67-year-old Prince Ernst August of Hanover, for years, but the soon-failed marriage was not yet finally ended.

Time and again, the German aristocrat humiliated the princess with open mistresses, brothel visits, drunken fits and fights. But despite everything, Caroline – on paper – remained his wife. She was friends with the Kennedys, Andy Warhol and even Princess Diana. Pitita left her daughter a fortune in stocks, jewelry and real estate. Claudia’s father was an ambassador and counted Princess Margaret among his circle of friends.
If Ernst August really choose the Spanish, it is almost inevitable that he will have to divorce Caroline. More than twelve years after the break, she still loses her German titles.
