SC Bastia allowed to play in front of 6,500 spectators

This is the first time that a club has obtained authorization to play in front of more than 5,000 people since the resumption of competitions. The Corsican club SC Bastia announced on Friday 28 August that it had won the case with the prefecture of Haute-Corse, which had agreed to raise this threshold to 6,500 people.

“The SCB also thanks Mr le Préfet de Haute-Corse and his staff for their listening and support in this matter,” SC Bastia said in a statement on Friday. “In this difficult period, the Sporting Club de Bastia is delighted to be able to offer a maximum of spectators the opportunity to be by his side during this 2020-2021 season.”

The Armand-Cesari stadium, often called “Furiani”, with a capacity of 16,000 seats, will host the national match between SCB and Boulogne-sur-Mer on Thursday 3 September.
