FC Barcelona forward Ferran Torres and Atlético Madrid defender Stefan Savic have been suspended for two matches. The two clashed during Sunday’s championship match at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Torres and Savic clashed in the final stage of the match. Both were sent off with a red card after one play.
Torres will miss league matches with Getafe and Girona on 22 and 29 January due to suspension. Savic must watch the matches against Alméria (January 15) and Real Valladolid (January 21).
Leaders Barcelona won the match 0-1 thanks to a goal from Ousmane Dembélé. Because of the victory, coach Xavi’s team ran three points ahead of Real Madrid. The Madrileños lost 2-1 against Villarreal on Saturday.
Barcelona are currently in Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. On Thursday, Real Betis will be the opponents in the semifinals.
