Prince Faisal bin Farhan pointed to “Saudi Arabia’s keenness to support all efforts aimed at establishing security and stability, providing room for dialogue, calm and easing tensions, and urging countries in the region to avoid escalation and focus on exchanging interests and benefits in a way that achieves the hopes and aspirations of the peoples of the region.”

The Saudi Foreign Minister added: “The Kingdom worked to consolidate the principle of collective action in order to build a better future for the region and the world, by hosting a number of joint regional summits within the framework of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the League of Arab States, with the participation of all countries.”

He stressed “the importance of efforts to achieve the goals of eliminating nuclear weapons, which begin with realizing the necessity of the entire international community implementing its obligations towards existing treaties and legal frameworks, with the aim of reaching a world free of nuclear weapons, especially in the Middle East region.”

Regarding the issue of repeated incidents of desecration and burning of copies of the Holy Qur’an, he announced Saudi Arabia’s praise of the decision issued by the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this regard, and indicated that his country calls for “the necessity of strengthening dialogue, understanding and cooperation between cultures and civilizations for the sake of peace and harmony in the world.” With the need to adhere to relevant international human rights instruments and laws.”
