Saskatchewan Children’s Festival Returns with Inclusivity and Fun Activities

The event is being held for the second time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Musical performances, theatrical performances and other activities of all kinds are planned until Sunday at Kinsmen Park.

For Festival Director Darcy Young, inclusiveness is an important value promoted in this event.

It’s really important that all children feel welcome at the festival. Because we’re having a festival for them. It’s a party for the children of Saskatchewanshe points out.

The organization encourages the participation of children in discovery workshops.

Some were even able to go on stage to dress up as French musketeers.

An opportunity for them to develop their self-confidence, according to actress Nicole McCafferty.

In her job, she was able to observe the benefits of theater for children, and the way it promotes openness to others.

Students always clap a lot for their friends. But this time at the end of the show, they all clappeda sign of the attention they give to the other members of the group, notes Nicole McCaferty.
