In a press conference this Monday, the president of SantosMarcelo Teixeira, released details of the players who have been traded in the current window so far (see the table below) and informed the value of the goalkeeper’s sale John to the Botafogo.
According to what was released by Santos, Glorioso acquired 75% of John’s economic rights for US$1.2 million (R$5.85 million at current prices). The Vila Belmiro club maintained 25%.
Still according to Santos, Botafogo must pay an additional US$100,000 (R$488,000) to Peixe if John plays 40 games as a starter. The goalkeeper arrives as a replacement for Lucas Perri, who was traded to Lyon.
John was the first player to be announced by Botafogo and signed a four-season contract with Glorioso, valid until December 2027.
