Santé Québec publishes a link to “inappropriate” content on Twitter

Some people who wanted to consult the details of the COVID-19 data by clicking on the link published by Santé Québec on its Twitter account had quite a surprise on Thursday morning.

This link, published around 11:20 am like every day, did not lead to the Quebec government site, but rather led users to a page of Pornhub, a site for distributing pornographic videos.

The publication was deleted shortly after, but several Internet users had already noted the error in social networks.

Around 12:20 p.m., Santé Québec posted a message of apology on its Twitter account.

“Due to a situation beyond our control, a link with inappropriate content has been posted on our Twitter account. We are looking for the causes. We are sorry for the inconvenience”, can we read.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Social Services told TVA Nouvelles by email that “investigations are currently underway to find out exactly what happened”.
