The Councilor for Urban Planning of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Carlos Tarife, has criticized the inaction of the Government of the Canary Islands in the construction of Public Housing. He has pointed out, for example, that there are reports from Corporación 5 that speak of a deficit of between 20,000 and 25,000 homes in Tenerife.
As for the capital, he indicated that in the next seven or eight years around 5,000 public houses should be built. In any case, he pointed out that the capital plans to approve on the 29th of this month an ordinance that will enable housing on the ground floor of the buildings, subject of course, to meeting certain conditions of habitability.
