The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through the Department of Culture, and the La Caixa Foundation collaborate in the joint organization of the immersive musical experience in virtual reality Symphony. A journey to the heart of classical music. It is an itinerant cultural activity produced by the banking foundation, the contents of which will be installed, from Wednesday morning until January 17, in two deployable units located on Avenida de Francisco La Roche (Vía Litoral).

The project Symphony proposes the viewer to live and enjoy classical music as they have never been able to experience it before thanks to virtual reality (VR) technology, inviting them to feel like one more musician in the orchestra.

Under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel and accompanied by the more than 100 musicians that make up the prestigious Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the public will be able to listen to the music in a unique way that will even allow them to enter the interior of the instruments.

The mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, was delighted at the arrival in the municipality of this project, “which has achieved international recognition and which combines music, culture and technology and which will undoubtedly enrich the offer of activities in the city for this Christmas ”.

The mayor chaired a recent meeting in which the Councilor for Culture, Gladis de León, as well as the territorial director of CaixaBank in the Canary Islands, Juan Ramón Fuertes, and the delegate in the Canary Islands of the La Caixa Foundation, Mauricio González, were present.
