‘Santa’ buys gifts for poor children for thousands of euros | Abroad

“My motto is ‘it’s nice to be nice,’” says Reese, who normally sells fencing.

“I was inspired last year by a video of families in need. I have children of my own, and can’t imagine not being able to give them gifts. At first I just wanted to donate £50. But then I saw all that excess wood in my backyard. So I made Christmas trees from that and sold them for £10 each. Last year I sold 260, but this year it was even faster. Some people drove three hours here to buy one,” he told The Sun.

Fletcher and his team raised 10,000 pounds, converted about 12,000 euros, and filled no fewer than 22 shopping carts in a toy store with that money. A number of bicycles were also purchased. These gifts are distributed to underprivileged children on Christmas Day.
