Sanremo, in Colapesce and Dimartino the prize of the critics Mia Martini and of the press room

Even if they remain off the podium finishing in tenth place, they take home two of the most important prizes of the Sanremo Festival. In fact, Colapesce and Dimartino won the Mia Martini critics’ award with “Splash” and also the Lucio Dalla press office award: the Sicilian couple (and half from Palermo) received 29 votes from accredited Ariston journalists, in addition to the award named after the singer who has won this award most of all.

Who wins the Sanremo Festival

The golden lion, i.e. first place, goes to Marco Mengoni, a huge favorite from the first estimates, and to his song, “Due vite”, which even got the audience on its feet for the only standing ovation at the Ariston (at least the only one among the singers in the competition). In second place is Lazza with “Cenere”, who in the evening had received the endorsement on Instagram from Leao, Milan’s striker. Finally, third place for Mr Rain who with “Superheroes” brought a choir of children on stage and also a lot of sweetness. In fourth place Ultimo with “Alba”. Closes the top 5 Tananai with “Tango”. Sergio Bardotti Award for the best text to Coma Cose with “L’addio”. Marco Mengoni also wins the Giancarlo Bigazzi award.

“Splash”, a success after “Musica very light”

“Splash”, the latest success of the Sicilian duo, therefore promises great things. As happened two years ago with “Musica very light”, whose refrain struggled not to turn into a loop, the new Sanremo song is also preparing to fly onto the radio and conquer everyone. “But I work to not stay with you” even appeared on billboards in half the city and beyond (as well as in Palermo, in fact, billboards were also seen in Rome and Milan), for a guerrilla marketing operation that it did not go unnoticed.

A song that also tells a movie

The song with which they win the two awards will also be in the end credits of the film “La primavera della mia vita”, in cinemas from February 20, written and performed by both songwriters. But what is the meaning of the song? It is a song that tells of how we struggle to do too many things to avoid life, of the feelings of failure and frustration amplified by cities like Milan. “We should lower the pressure on expectations” explained Colapesce during an interview. Di Martino followed it up: “Take care of what we have, not just what we still have to achieve”. This is then, perhaps, the key to everything.
