Kleikers has been part of the core group of commentators and reporters at Eurosport since January 2018. Over the past six years he has been a voice at various major international cycling races, from classics to monuments, and presented cycling shows such as Kop over kop.
Kleikers was also regularly on the road as a reporter during the Grand Tours. During various editions of the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España, he followed the peloton to report and conduct interviews. And otherwise he would present the studio show.

This and much more was reason enough for Jumbo-Visma to choose Kleikers in its search for a new strong man in the communications field. He will succeed Bierens on December 1 and will not only have press matters in his portfolio at the most successful cycling team in recent years, but will also be responsible for the strategic aspect of communication.
Apart from his work as a commentator, interviewer and reporter, Kleikers was also the face of various Eurosport programs surrounding the Olympic Games as a presenter. Consider programs such as MedalZone, TokyoToday and BeijingToday in which all medal moments were shown. Before that he was a program maker, editor and presenter at L1, among others.

Passions come together at Jumbo-Visma
“I’m going to do something new. Although it may not be completely new. I am going to unite my two professional loves, cycling and communication, even more in a new challenge: communications manager at Team Jumbo-Visma,” Kleikers himself responds.
“Up until now I had already started working on both loves. On the one hand as a cycling commentator and presenter at Eurosport, on the other hand as a communications advisor or trainer for various clients on behalf of my own company. The two will come together on December 1, with the best cycling team in the world.”

The last job on behalf of Eurosport for Kleikers will be the presentation of the National Cycling Gala 2023 from the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. This broadcast starts Monday, November 27 at 6:15 PM on Eurosport 1 and discovery+.
