Sanas Madeira was able to safely locate and rescue the occupant of a jet ski, which was adrift in Madalena do Mar this afternoon.
The alert came when they were closing the rescue device in Ribeira Brava. Informed that a jet ski had disappeared two hours ago, they managed to locate it in the area of Madalena do Mar, already without motorization capacity 600 meters from the coast.
“Once there, 2 bathers had already taken to the sea, but in the middle of the distance they ask for help”, explains Sanas. For this reason, 4 Lifeguards were activated and 3 others were put in prevention. After contact with the swimmers, they performed their grouping and monitoring for the coast.
