Samuel’s father asks to avoid falling into “flags and politicians” in the rallies for the death of his son | Society

The month in which the rights of the LGTBI collective are celebrated and claimed could not have ended in a worse way. Samuel, a young man from A Coruña, was brutally murdered this weekend after receiving a beating at dawn on Saturday for an attack for which the causes are still being investigated, but witnesses indicate that it is a homophobic attack.

Samuel’s father, Maxsoud Luiz, has been shown this Monday totally devastated in Public mirror, where he has not been able to hold back the tears when talking about his son and has asked everyone to go to the rally or who wants to pay tribute to his son, to do so by delivering a donation to the Red Cross, which is what he would have wanted.

He does not want to be politicized with the murder of his son

For this reason, he has asked that in “the demonstrations that are going to take place … I would like to ask that we remove the flags, the politicians, that there be humanization here”, since both his son and the family do not want to turn him into a political symbol nor do they want to harm to the rest of the parents who, as he has highlighted, are not to blame for what their children have done.

He understands that what is happening through networks “cannot be stopped”, but he has encouraged anyone who wants to pay tribute to Samuel to bring a meal to the Red Cross, since it is what he would have liked, as he was a very young caring and had worked with the organization on occasion. In addition, Samuel worked as a nursing assistant at the Padre Rubinos residence in A Coruña.

Samuel, a loving young man with a good heart

“He was a kid who never gave problems, did not get into fights, never got drunk or took drugs. My son was an affectionate, loving boy, a friend of his friends, a friend of his parents,” explained his father without being able to contain the tears. He did emphasize that Samuel’s homosexuality had not been discussed at home because he was a very reserved boy, and he pointed out a phrase that he said to him when the topic came up: “Dad, what one is or stops being is a matter of each one. There is a time to talk things over and now is not the time. “

Although the case is under summary secret and they are seeking to identify all the aggressors, Maxsoud has said that his son always fled from fights, and that if it was due to a homophobic aggression or for another cause they do not know. As he understands, his son left the house talking on the phone because he had met three friends, and from what they have explained to him, his son tried to avoid the conflict between a group of boys who chased him out of the premises to give him a beating him to death and calling him a “fag” when he was on the ground.

Maxsoud is now a broken father who asks that his son not be used to do more hatred, but to end him, and not cause more damage to more families.
