At the end of last month, Samsung updated its Galaxy S23 series smartphones to Android 14 with One UI 6.0, now it is about to release the same update to its other devices. In recent years, the Korean company has been paying attention to its update policy – it updates its phones and tablets frequently and provides them with exceptionally long support. It intends to follow this practice with the latest Android 14.

We have a whirlwind of updates until Christmas

The Romanian representation of Samsung at official community blog has published an ambitious schedule, according to which Koreans plan to upgrade more than 30 devices to Android 14 in the next five weeks. This update whirlwind is set to kick off today, when the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 foldables, as well as the Galaxy A34 and A54 mid-range phones, are set to receive the new system. Last year’s Galaxy S22 flagship smartphones are due to arrive this week.

By the end of this year, Samsung wants to be able to update most of the devices from the past two years, although the exact date has not yet been decided for some. Although the schedule comes from a blog in Rum, it is supposed to be valid for the whole of Europe. To avoid overloading the servers, Samsung will release updates in waves, and may even delay some deadlines, for example if there are some last-minute bug fixes.
