Samsung Unpacked 2024: Official Date and Details Revealed for Galaxy S24 Series

  • Today, after long weeks of speculation, Samsung has officially announced when it will introduce the Galaxy S24 series
  • The next Samsung Unpacked event will take place on January 17 at 19:00 our time
  • Our editors also received an invitation to California

It’s been talked about for a long time, and today it’s official. We are talking about the date of the introduction of the Galaxy S24 model series. It will traditionally be represented by three smartphones – Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to the very numerous leaks and press images that have appeared on the Internet in recent weeks, we will see an almost identical design and dimensions.

Significant news should be brought by the One UI 6.1 user interface, which should largely work with generative artificial intelligence. This should, for example, take care of better night images, real-time translation of phone calls (this function will probably not be available in our country) and other software optimizations.

The latest behind-the-scenes information also suggests that the most equipped Galaxy S24 Ultra model will record video in 4K resolution at a frame rate of 120 fps. Thanks to the new mode, it will be possible to give the footage a cinematic feel, as it will be possible to play it up to 4x slower thanks to the increased frame rate. There is even speculation about support for 8K at 60 fps, but again only for the S24 Ultra version.

Will it be cheaper than the Galaxy S23 series?

When Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series last February, it pleasantly surprised most users with the intergenerational price increase of all memory variants – prices then increased by 500 to 2 thousand crowns. The Koreans responded to the chip crisis and globally rising inflation by increasing the price. Samsung at least partly compensated for the increase in price by offering higher memory variants at the price of lower ones in pre-sales.

For the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, we will probably see an intergenerational price reduction, at least that’s what the Dutch server claims Galaxy Clubwhich revealed the alleged European prices of all models.

Don’t overlook

Samsung is furious: the Galaxy S24 series in a complete leak, everything was revealed

According to the Dutch website, the price of most configurations is to be reduced – the Galaxy S24 and S24+ are to be reduced by 50 euros (about 1,500 crowns including VAT), the price of the higher memory versions of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is to be reduced by 10 euros (about 300 crowns including VAT ). The price increase should only occur for the basic memory variant of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, by 50 euros.

When will Samsung Unpacked take place?
