The coronavirus will he be right about MWC 2020 ? As of this writing, 811 people have died in China, 1 in the Philippines and 1 in Hong Kong, and an estimated 40,000 people have been infected. The 2019-Ncov its scientific name is thus more deadly than SARS, a virus also causing an acute form of pneumonia, which had caused 774 deaths between 2002 and 2003.

In this context, we understand the fear that is taking hold of the industry on the eve of one of the biggest tech fairs of the year. The event will be replaced with an online video. As for Huawei and Oppo, they have both announced that their managers will be quarantined 14 days before the start of the show – Oppo says it will check the temperature of everyone who attends its events. Samsung also logically decided to adopt a cautious stance. Many employees and managers will not be traveling this year.

But the brand will have a stand. Although to believe Cnet, “Conditions are rapidly changing around the coronavirus which could lead Samsung to change plans again”.
