Samsung Prepares Lite Series Folding Phones, More Affordable Prices

Selular.ID – Samsung is preparing its next foldable phone. A key Samsung executive has also confirmed that the company is busy with the development of its next foldable phone. There are rumors of a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold Lite model being prepared.

During announcing Q1 2022 earnings, Kim Sung-Koo, VP of mobile business at Samsung hinted at the upcoming foldable smartphone.

“Currently we are preparing a new folding model which is scheduled to be launched in the second half,” he said.

He also added that Samsung wants to make foldable smartphones “a key column alongside the Galaxy S series in the company’s business.” This shows how serious Samsung is about foldable smartphones and how Samsung views it as a growth opportunity for its business.

No other smartphone manufacturer is as serious about folding phones as Samsung. That makes a significant improvement on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The upcoming models are expected to be even better.

For your information Samsung announced today’s Q1 2022 earnings which were pretty impressive, to say the least. The company achieved record revenues and profits of $61.19 billion and $11.10 billion, respectively. It also highlights how he intends to maintain this performance going forward.
