KOMPAS.com – Samsung announced the presence of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro, Monday (30/10/2023). This is a limited edition Samsung Z Flip 5 which adopts the design of an old folding cellphone.
If you remember, Samsung released the SGH-E700 folding cellphone in 2003. This folding cellphone brought an innovative design and features. At that time, the SGH-E700 was the first cellphone with an internal antenna and an OLED cover screen that allowed users to take selfies.
On the Samsung Newsroom website, this Korean cellphone vendor said that the SGH-E700 cellphone plays an important role in advancing Samsung’s position in the global cellphone industry.
So, to commemorate 20 years of innovation in this old folding cellphone, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro with the distinctive design and features of the SGH-E700.
For example, in terms of color, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro has a silver frame and indigo blue on the back.

The Samsung Z Flip 5 Retro also brings a 2000s pixel graphic UX design as well as exclusive animations depicting city views with a nostalgic touch that appear in the Flex Window.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro is sold in a bundling package with a Flipsuit case, three Flipsuit cards with Samsung logo designs from various eras, a Samsung logo sticker, and an SGH-E700 collector card engraved with a unique serial number.
This special and limited edition folding cellphone comes in a black box with a picture of the Z Flip 5 product and another black box with a picture of the SGH-E700, as compiled by KompasTekno from Samsung Newsroom, Monday (30/10/2023).
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro will be available in limited quantities in Korea, England, Germany, Spain and Australia on Tuesday, November 1 2023. Then, on November 2 it will be available in France.
However, Samsung has not revealed the price tag for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro.
