The housings of the plugs are also round, and also a bit large. But they sit very well in the journalist’s ears, and it is especially nice that they have both a fairly good noise cancellation and also an optional degree of ambient noise.

The Samsung Wearable app for Android lets you find lost earbuds, and here you can also make some EQ settings. If you have an Android mobile from a manufacturer other than Samsung, you must download both this and the Galaxy Buds2 Manager add-on.
Galaxy Buds2 is IPX2 certified, which means that they can withstand the occasional splash of water, but nothing much more. They have both AAC and also Samsung Scalable Codec, which provides up to 512 Mbit / s together with a compatible Samsung mobile.
The sound of Samsung Galaxy Buds2
The Samsung plugs have sound from the AKG department and sound very good, with a clear midrange that does singing voices and instruments justice. Voices stand out from the backdrop, with airy whispers and very clear pronunciation. Every word is playfully easy to get along with, and instruments such as violin and piano sound both dynamic and spread well in a large soundscape.
Pop sounds good, so does jazz, with a nice and natural sound from the double bass, while the trumpet is both full and airy, while you hear how the wood chips vibrate against the mouthpiece. Also pop music entertains, with good punch in the rhythms. The most energetic rhythms reveal that the rich bass is a bit behind, a bit like a cheap subwoofer, and the situation worsens when noise processing is activated. But there is no crisis.
You can switch between pre-programmed EQ settings, but for me the plugs sound very good out of the box. Some pop productions sound a bit flat, so you can choose Bassheving, then the bass gets bigger and fuller, but nothing violent. It does not spoil the midrange. Of course, it is also just to play with the other settings.
The speech quality is good in quiet environments, with a fairly natural sound to the voice without getting loud. The words are clear enough, but the sound may be a little low. With noise in the background, Galaxy Buds2 falls short, noise cancellation in the voice microphone is almost absent. You both hear the noise from outside, at the same time as you can barely hear the speaker.
