Sam Asghari Reflects on Marriage to Britney Spears: Calls It a ‘Blessing’

Sam Asghari looks back on his marriage to Britney Spears, which he ended. The American model calls it “a blessing” to have shared his life with someone for so long.

The couple, who started dating in 2017 and married in June 2022, split in August last year. Asghari tells in an interview with People that he is grateful for their relationship.

“It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. People grow apart and people move on,” says the actor, who celebrates his thirtieth birthday on Saturday. He was the one who filed for divorce last year, but holds no grudge against the 42-year-old singer.

“I’ve always hated people who break up; at some point they told each other they loved each other and sat at the same table and ate together. I never understand why they talk bad about the other when they break up,” says Asghari.

“That’s something I will never do, because I had a great time and a good life. It will always be part of me, a chapter in my life.”

Asghari is now focusing on his career and a “healthy lifestyle”. “I have always had the most positive mindset about life. My experiences have shaped me into the man I am today. I continue to grow, I come from a family that celebrates the past. I love looking back, my past was a beautiful blessing .”
